Azure Functions는 Build 2026에서 서버리스 에이전트 런타임을 공개 미리보기를 통해 출시했습니다. 에이전트는 .agent.md 마크다운 파일과 YAML 트리거, MCP 서버 접근, 1,400개 이상의 커넥터 및 샌드박스 실행으로 정의됩니다. Functions 팀은 이 런타임이 콜드 스타트 오버헤드와 추가 청구가 없음을 확인했습니다.

Azure Functions shipped a serverless agents runtime in public preview at Build 2026.

Azure Functions announced the public preview of its serverless agents runtime at Build 2026. Agents are defined using .agent.md markdown files, YAML triggers, MCP server access, and over 1,400 connectors with sandboxed execution. The Functions team confirmed that this runtime does not add cold start overhead or any additional billing beyond standard Flex Consumption.
