A hack on the Liquid Network resulted in the theft of nearly 4,000 Bitcoin. The hacker returned 3,400 Bitcoin the next day, while 598.5 Bitcoin remains unreturned. The Liquid Network is a Bitcoin sidechain that currently holds real Bitcoin to back a token called L-BTC, but it is paused, preventing holders from converting L-BTC back to Bitcoin.
