Firefox 157에 도입되는 JPEG XL

Firefox 157에서 JPEG XL 지원이 Rust 디코더로 추가된다.

Mozilla는 Firefox 157에 Rust 기반의 JPEG XL 디코더를 도입한다고 발표했다. 이를 통해 2026년 말 이전에 주요 브라우저에서 JPEG XL 이미지 형식을 사용할 수 있게 될 전망이다. 기존 C++ 디코더와 비교해 공격 표면이 감소할 것으로 기대된다.
