보안 회사 Calif는 위챗 계정을 취약하게 해주는 제로 클릭 웜을 개발했다. 이 웜은 수신자가 전화를 받지 않아도 작동하며, 발신자가 반드시 수신자의 위챗 연락처에 있어야 한다. Calif는 이 취약점을 7월에 텐센트에 보고했고, 해당 회사는 이후 조치를 취했다고 밝혔다.

A security firm, Calif, has created a zero-click worm that take over WeChat accounts through incoming calls. The recipient does not have to answer the phone for it to work, but the caller must be one of their WeChat contacts. Calif reported the vulnerability to Tencent in July, and the company has taken steps since then.
