Gamers Nexus의 조사에 따르면, LG OLED TV가 소유자와 가정에 대한 데이터를 지속적으로 기록 및 전송하며, 대기 모드나 오프라인 상태에서도 일부 데이터를 수집하고 있다는 사실이 드러났다. 이 과정에서 패킷 캡처를 통해 주변의 휴대전화 및 스마트워치 정보를 탐색하고, 위치와 인근 Wi-Fi 네트워크 정보도 수집하는 것으로 확인되었다.

A report by Gamers Nexus revealed that LG OLED TVs continuously record and transmit data about owners and their homes, even when in standby mode or disconnected from the internet. The investigation found that the TVs perform packet captures to explore nearby phones and smartwatches, collecting information on locations and adjacent Wi-Fi networks.
