Password manager Dashlane has disclosed a security incident where an unknown attacker launched a brute-force attack on certain user accounts. The aim was to break two-factor authentication (2FA). As a result of the attack on May 31, 2026, encrypted vaults of fewer than 20 users on the personal subscription plan were downloaded.
