Cloudflare enhances its tracing feature with agent tracing that impacts billing events.
Cloudflare has launched agent tracing, which adds spans for agent invocations, model calls, tool runs, and approvals to existing Workers traces. Sessions can be replayed turn by turn, although the documentation warns that traces are not lossless and that payloads may be truncated. Payload recording defaults vary by framework, and starting October 1, 2026, every span will be counted as a billable event.
