AWS has open-sourced a policy language named Dogwood, which extends Cedar with temporal conditions that reason about an agent's prior tool calls. It includes features for approvals, rate limits, and running totals, and is released under Apache 2.0. The language is supported in AgentCore Policy, though the reference interpreter is not yet production-ready.
