해커들이 메타의 AI 지원 봇을 이용하여 오바마 백악관과 미국 우주군 최고 군사 사령관의 인스타그램 계정을 탈취하였다. 이 공격은 텔레그램에서 메타의 'AI 지원 어시스턴트' 봇을 속여 계정 비밀번호를 재설정하는 방법에 대한 지침이 유포되면서 발생했다. 계정은 잠시 동안 친이란 이미지와 메시지로 변형되었다.
Hackers exploited Meta's AI support bot to seize Instagram accounts.
Hackers briefly seized the Instagram accounts of the Obama White House and the Chief Master Sergeant of the U.S. Space Force using Meta's AI support bot. Instructions circulating on Telegram showed how to trick the bot into resetting account passwords. The accounts were defaced with pro-Iranian images and messages during the incident.
