AirDrop and Quick Share Flaws Let Nearby Attackers Trigger Crashes and Bypass Checks

연구자들이 AirDrop과 Quick Share에서 총 6개의 보안 취약점을 발견했다. 공격자는 무선 범위 내에서 이전 연결 없이 노트북만으로 Mac이나 iPhone의 공유 서비스를 충돌시킬 수 있다. 이 문제는 사용자가 아무에게나 연결 수신 설정을 해두었을 경우 더욱 심각하다. Quick Share에서도 유사한 취약점이 발견됐다. 이는 개인 정보와 기기 안전에 심각한 위협이 될 수 있다.

Security flaws in AirDrop and Quick Share allow nearby attackers to crash devices without prior connection.

Researchers have identified six security vulnerabilities in AirDrop and Quick Share. An attacker within wireless range can crash the sharing service on a Mac or iPhone set to receive from anyone, without any prior connection needed. This issue becomes more severe if users have set their devices to receive from anyone. Similar flaws were also found in Quick Share, posing significant risks to user privacy and device security.
