Quantitative analysis of token usage focused on code review in agent-based software engineering.
This study analyzes token consumption in an LLM-based multi-agent software development system by mapping it to the SDLC phases. It reveals that token usage is concentrated in the code review and validation stages rather than initial creation. In 30 software development tasks performed by ChatDev, the code review stage accounted for an average of 59.4% of token usage.
