Canada's spy agency has obtained a judge's permission to access infected servers, home routers, and IoT devices to neutralize two foreign-run botnets. The Federal Court released a public version of this ruling on June 15, marking the first time the Canadian Security Intelligence Service has utilized its threat reduction warrant powers in this manner. This allows CSIS to alter the infected devices directly.
